THE BEARDED PIG is a Southern style BBQ joint founded in 2016 by Chad Munsey & Michael Schmidt in the heart of the San Marco neighborhood of Jacksonville. \u00a0Our style of service harkens back to the original meat markets of Texas that sold BBQ at the counter and had a very limited menu. \u00a0Our menu is slightly broader and the space has a modern vibe, but our goal is simple: to serve the best BBQ \u2013 period.<\/p>\n

Originally opened at 1224 Kings Ave in the San Marco neighborhood of Jacksonville. It was a total strip down renovation, transforming a small 2000 sq ft 1940\u2019s era building into the new destination for BBQ in Jacksonville. \u00a0In Aug of 2021 we moved to our new state of the art building at 1808 Kings Ave (just 4 blocks down the road). \u00a0In March of 2021 we opened our second location in Jacksonville Beach at 1700 3rd Street South. \u00a0Our restaurants are modern-industrial, with elements of wood & concrete to complete the vibe. \u00a0The dual sided bar with roll-up window is great for lunch or after work happy hour. \u00a0Our outdoor covered and open-air patios reminds guests of summer picnics and is perfect for outdoor dining. \u00a0Numerous TV\u2019s will make sure you don\u2019t miss a minute of action of your favorite sport. \u00a0Don\u2019t forget about our grass lawn with outdoor chalkboard for kids & adults alike to draw their masterpiece.<\/p>\n

Drawing on influences from Texas, where beef is king and all the meat is dry-rubbed, all the while not forgetting to pay homage to the Carolina\u2019s where pork rules. \u00a0All 5 of our sauces are proprietary recipes and are sure to add the perfect flavor to the meal. \u00a0In addition, our Southern inspired starters and side items are the perfect match to our perfectly smoked meats. We haven\u2019t forgotten the health conscious diner as we offer great selection of Vegetarian side items and garden salads.<\/p>\n

We feature the latest in design\/innovation with the Coca-Cola \u201cFreestyle\u201d machine which allows guest a choice of over 100 selections. \u00a0And for the adult beverages we have certainly not forgotten them. \u00a0Our expertly chosen beer selection includes 12 on draught, another half dozen in bottle & can and includes local & regional craft brews & ciders as well as a few domestic favorites. \u00a0Our wine selection was personally chosen by our in-house Sommelier to reflect both flavor profiles to match the food as well as price point for everyday consumption. \u00a0In addition, our full liquor bar and specialty PIG-Tails list makes sure no one goes without their favorite beverage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
